Drapery question-cranberry couch, pewter chairs-what color drapes?
Have a cranberry color Bogart couch with 2 small pewter color chairs. My walls are a silver/grey. What color drapes should I do? I want it to be formal. Im thinking silver silk drapes would be too much grey in the room. Im going with an Art Deco look
Introducing a tone ranging from ecru-cream to antique gold (depending on your preference and need for brightness) could add a subtle glow to an already elegant combination...
If you have mostly solids already, you might also consider adding a pattern in the drapery, possibly a stripe or a sort of persian-rug or brocade type floral including the cranberry and silver gray, possibly on a cream background, or possibly a tone on tone textured pattern that would show up as the light plays on it.
