Why are serving sizes on food and snack packages so ridiculously small in the US?
I have a 12-oz can of soda whose serving size is 8 ounces/1.5 servings per can. Who would possibly drink 8 ounces of a can, then save the remaining four for another time? I notice this sort of thing on a lot of foods and drinks.
I think that serving sizes should legally be required to represent the amount that an average person (non-disgustingly fat) would consume at one time, rather than these arbitrary amounts that they use. Anyone else agree?
I agree with you,
most likely they put those on there to try and make US not the world's fattest country.
